Why we Need to Study Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a way for you to take whatever situation you are facing in a cam land peaceful manner. It used to be a way for those suffering as a result of a disease to face it better. It later found application as a way of handling the daily life challenges we face. It has since found application in many areas, apart from the initial medical areas. Mindfulness is reaching that mental state of recognizing what is happening to you, and not imposing any judgments on it.
Mindfulness helps you to cope with your present circumstances the best way possible. There shall be no room for you to start comparing your situation to other better ones, which is how you start to feel the pain. Comparisons always highlights the deficits in these situations. There shall then be a rejection of your state, which then turns to pain over it. You also get to find ways to make your situation better, thus getting out of a bad one if that was what it was. The best way to deal with a situation has often been seen as starting once you accept it. Action from any other platform rarely yields the desired results.
When you are in a difficult situation, dwelling on the negatives rarely ever leads to anything worthwhile. It in fact usually leads to an even worse outcome. This shall go on for so long that any positive intervention shall have to be immense if it to give any positive outcome. The quality of our thoughts has a lot to determine the quality of our lives. The things you focus on are the things that your life is most likely to head towards.
To help you overcome any adversity, it is best to focus on all efforts to get better. This is accelerated by the positive and kind thoughts you have. You can also focus on positives outside yourself. You can pick your loved ones an appreciate having them in your life. There shall be a reaction in your body that shall introduce healing properties into it. Being mindful of the type and quality of your thoughts is the process through which you shall get to reach that higher level. The chemicals dopamine and oxytocin are released whenever you have positive thoughts on your mind. This shall then calm the body, and allow it to heal.
Once you have studied mindfulness, you shall develop the right mindset and tricks to bring your mind to a place of calm and focus. You may learn how to use chants to bring your mind to this level when challenged.
Once you accept a situation, it becomes easier to find ways of coping with what has happened in it. The positive outlook shall always bear positive outcomes, when compared to the negative thoughts.
